More about Roundtable on Financing Water

The Roundtable builds on focused, in-depth analyses to engage a wide range of stakeholders from both the Global North and the Global South. These stakeholders include governments, regulators, private financiers (such as institutional investors, commercial banks, asset managers, impact investors), development finance institutions, bilateral donors, international organizations, academic institutions, and civil society organizations.

The Roundtable on Financing Water has made significant contributions to advancing research on financing water-related investments at both global and regional levels. It has played a key role in fostering dialogue between the water and finance communities.

The initiative aims to identify and address gaps in both quantitative and qualitative research on various aspects of water financing. This includes assessments of financing needs and capacities for water in regions, such as Europe and Asia. Preparatory work for each Roundtable further supports research development and helps shape policy-relevant messages on issues of importance to the OECD and the broader global community.
